The post cold war economic environments are increasingly opening barriers in which domestic and foreign aspects of security are inseparably affiliated with each other. Trade flows and investment, the technlogical development and the spreading of democracy have brought freedom and prosperity to many people. Others have perceived globalisation as a cause of frustration and injustice. These developments have enhanced the sector of non-state corporations to play a part in international affairs as well. And those have increased European‘s expenses when it comes to infrastructure, transport, energy, information and other fields.

Die wirtschaftlichen Verhältnisse nach dem Kalten Krieg sind eine wachsende offene Grenze, in denen inländische- und ausländische Aspekte der Sicherheit untrennbar miteinander verbunden sind. Handelsströme und Investition, die technologische Entwicklung und die Ausweitung von Demokratie haben vielen Menschen Freiheit und Wohlstand gebracht. Andere haben die Globalisierung als Ursache von Frustration und Ungerechtigkeit wahrgenommen.
