Hellfire
The Hellfire C-Kit matches
(mostly) the chassis
generation V2 and uses the existing drive
train of the model. The components are all arranged around the center
as compact as possible. The new generation can take a maximum of 12
Nixx cells in Sub-C format (six pieces in two layers) per side.
Appropriate Li-Ion or LiPo batteries are useable alternatively as well.
It does not matter whether it is a hardcase Lipo or an unprotected
normal cell as the batteries are fully placed inside the chassis and
therefore protected. The maximum battery sizes are 140 x 46 x 46mm
(5.51 x 1.81 x 1.81") per
side and should not be exceeded. The Hellfire uses a revolutionary
(patented) concept for mounting the motor - it simply lets the user
select between two very common BL-Motor sizes! The driver can either
use a 540 sized motor OR a motor with a diameter of up to 44mm (1.73")
while using the same bolt circle than the 540 motors (diameter 25mm
(0.98"), 2-4 M3 screws).
A completely new concept was developed for the V2 generation which
among other things sees the following points:- changed placement of the motor for even better motor accessibility
- changed placement of the battery for more downforce on the rear suspension
- optimised weight distribution of all components
- opimised battery holder (avoids batteries from slipping)
- additional stiffener for the motor (optional part)
- even more gearing options (8-20 teeth pinions are useable)
- easier access to the steering linkage and to the steering servo
- optional fans (or heat sinks) are applicable to the motor (2x)
- optional reinforced main gears are available (44 and 46 tooth)
(The pictures show the model including some tuning parts)
The C-Kit is available for the
following models (the useable Basic car Kit is listed in brakets):
Hellfire (RTR and Kit versions), wheelbase: 370mm (14.57"), max. motor length: 75mm (2.95")
SavageThe C-Kit for the Savage Monster Truck is a separate construction which is not based on the different chassis of the V1 or V2 generation. The basic C-Kit allows the use of up to 6 Nixx Sub-C cells per side (12 in total for the basic kit). Each battery pack can be up to the size of 140 x 46 x 23mm (5.51 x 1.81 x 0.91") and is always placed right behind the steering. Of course Lipo battery packs that match the allowed size will fit into the car too. With optional parts the user can fit as much as 24 Nixx Sub-C cells (or Lipo equivalent) into the car. To power up this huge Truck the user can select between a variety of motors - 36-44mm diameter (1.42" - 1.73") combined with a widely adjustable motor length between 46-80mm (1.81 - 3.15"). The gearing is adjustable in a wide area too, main gears from 48 to 53 teeth and motor pinions from 12 to 20 teeths are possible. The motor holder has slightly the same construction than the (patented) universal motor holder (this item can be found in the area "Parts (Pinions)") and allows the totally crash resistant mounting of any motor. Due to some changes on the original diff cases and due to a needed swap of the differentials, the C-Kit recommends the use of an aftermarket aluminium diff case (1x front, 1x rear) - this case is available as an option part. There are another few optional parts available for this C-Kit, a special battery holder in the back for additional 12 Nixx Sub-C cells, two mounting plates (1x front, 1x rear) for mounting huge ESCs or even a video camera. Of course the 2-3 speed tranny can be blocked in the first gear to get more power in the lower RPM´s, this has to be carried out by the driver himself. Alternatively the driver can use the original FWD / REV tranny box inside the main tranny box too.
The C-Kit offers the following features:- variable motor choice from the most used BL-Motor types
- safe motor mounting, it will protect the front and rear endbell
- optimised weight distribution of all components
- opimised battery holder (avoids batteries from slipping)
- many gearing options (12-20 teeth pinions and 48-53 teeth main gears are useable)
- optional fans (or heat sinks) are applicable to the motor (2x)
- optional holder plates for mounting huge ESCs or video cameras
- optional rear battery holder system to add up to 12 Nixx Sub-C cells
