Protector Sheet
In order to protect the drive train (and all electronics) of the V1
chassis, a newly developed and patented protective cover made of highly
resistant synthetic material can be mounted between the chassis plates.
The protector sheet weights 8 gramm (0.017 lb) and is much lighter than
comparable undertrays and still provides optimal protection from dirt.
Based on the fact that the heat dissipation is generally blocked a bit
by the use of any dirt protective system, the ESC should be choosen
with some extra power capacity in mind when using any dirt protection
system. In general, it is useful to control the temperatures for the
first few drives – if it becomes necessary a small cooling opening can
be cut in one or more areas without problems. The protector sheet is
also available for some of the V2 C-Kits.
